It has come to our attention that there is an account on X, formerly known as Twitter, with the handle @IBD_2027, which purports to be a support group for Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egugungbohun's fictional gubernatorial political ambition in 2027. We want to clarify that Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egugungbohun, a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist, has no intentions of running for any political office in 2027 or the future. The aforementioned account, created in January 2024, is spreading speculations. Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egugungbohun's primary focus is on managing his conglomerate and devoting his time to the IBD foundation, which aims to positively impact people's lives. While he has strong connections with various political figures due to his grassroots upbringing in Ilaro, he has no desire to pursue a political career or engage in any political activities. We urge the public to disregard any pages on X or Instagram that claim IBD is running for political office, as these stories are baseless and mere products of the author's imagination. It is important to note that IBD has no account on X other than on Instagram, where his handle is @IBDDende. Any other accounts on X or Instagram that claim to be IBD Dende are parody accounts and should not be taken seriously.
